Tim McClure represents the
fourth generation in a family of artists who have
been prominent in the stained glass craft for nearly
a century. He was born in Dallas, TX, where he
currently lives and works.
Tim's artistry has been noted for its evocation of
mood, subtlety, broad visual vocabulary and variety
of technical means. Examples of his glass work and the
work of his family members can be viewed in
prominent new and
historical, liturgical and secular settings around
the country, predominately in the Southwest. His work exhibits a wide range of
sizes, styles and themes – including any type of
stained glass design from traditional hand-painted glass to
abstract contemporary pieces.
His range of additional
pursuits includes, as well as stained
glass, portrait painting, drawing,
etching, mural painting, and a life-long informal, though lively, study
of art history.
