Exterior glass protects
stained glass windows from impact and weather
damage. Aluminum frame technology
now allows us to create custom exterior frames that
duplicate the design of your original frames -
enhancing windows,
rather than covering them up.
As shown in the before and
after photos
on this page, the existing polycarbonate (Lexan) covering at
these churches had become discolored and cloudy,
obscuring the
view of the beautiful windows. Additionally, the
frames had been installed without regard
for the original frame design.
We also ensure that the stained glass windows are
properly ventilated to allow a natural airflow to
cool the space between the stained glass and
protective glass. This helps prevent premature
deterioration of the lead holding the glass
together.
